SPAM ALERT

We occasionally receive alerts that unknown persons are spoofing Marold Law Firm, PLLC and/or acting to be one or more of the lawyers in our firm. Most recently, we were notified that text messages were being sent out alleging to come from our office and lawyers in our firm claiming that the recipient(s) are entitled to a large inheritance. Though we do text with existing clients and occasionally, only if we are in court, do text with potential clients, we ALWAYS speak directly with our existing clients and potential clients in-person, by phone or by zoom. Additionally, our only physical office is in San Antonio, Texas and we have a non-physical presence in California (as attorney, Meagan R. Marold, practicing law in CA). We do not practice law in any states other than CA and TX.

ALWAYS confirm the authenticity of the alleged attorney you are speaking or texting with by confirming the facts with the state bar of Texas/California attorney's profile search. The information on an Attorney's state bar profile must always match the information you are receiving.

Rarely, though we have had a few cases, is there a case when we are "cold-calling" a potential client promising a large inheritance. If you do receive a call, there should already be a court case pending, which you can independently verify by calling the court clerk of the court where the legal case is pending. Always ask for documentation to substantiate the alleged court case - pleadings, cause numbers, Judge's name, etc. You can always call the Judge's office directly to verify the facts. If you have any questions or concerns about whether you are truly speaking with an authorized agent of our firm, please contact me directly at Burke@MaroldLawFirm.com or by phone at (210) 701-0829.
