A guardianship of an estate of a ward is settled and closed if:

  • A minor ward dies or becomes an adult;
  • An incapacitated ward dies or is restored;
  • The spouse of a married ward is qualified as survivor in community;
  • Negligible income;
  • All assets have been placed in a management trust
  • Court order; or
  • A minor’s estate consisting of less than $100,000.
